The general questions this Tuesday was 'Who will protect us against our protectors?'

It was revealed that an independent report into the Metropolitan Police has concluded that Britain's largest force is "broken" and should be abolished if it cannot change.  This report made by Baroness Louise Casey was a headline UK news of Tuesday in the global media. It pushed away all other issues like:

The European Union council has given Rishi Sunak’s Windsor Framework the green light after an agreement was made on 27th February.

US Congress members sound alarm over treatment of UK Christians

Even Suella Braverman with her ‘illegal migration bill’ and visit to Rwanda which only people in a coma did not call 'immeasurably cruel' or merely 'inhuman.'

Meanwhile the mass media savoured details like:

'Met Police officer 'repeatedly raped' by colleague and staff urinated on: Key findings of Baroness Casey's damning review into force' or 'Met Police report: Rape cases ruined, Sikh officer's beard cut... five findings from Casey review.'

The report has been severely criticized by Jamie Klinger, an American writer and co-founder of social justice organization Reclaim These Streets. Ms Klinger found it not good enough because of lack of accusations of sexism and homophobia in addition to racist ones. At the same time Home Secretary Suella Braverman refused to accept that Met is institutionally racist. Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper commented her reaction: "The findings on institutional misogyny, racism and homophobia are based on evidence and clear criteria that Baroness Casey has set out for measuring change with recommendations.

"The Home Secretary rightly says she wants discrimination tackled in all its forms but she has been telling police forces the opposite and telling them not to focus on those issues. So where is her plan now to turn that around?"

The Mirror commentators consider that that's no surprise for Ms Braverman "is institutionally racist herself." And that and institute of Police needs to be reformed:

"As a life long supporter of the Police I think the time has come to disband the Metropolitan Police Force and start again; a more thorough recruitment and vetting process needs to be established.

Trust is imperative between the police and the public.

In my mind there has been too many crimes committed by serving police officers.

There needs to be radical change NOW!!!!"
