What happened on 9th April 2023
On Sunday, the United Kingdom celebrated Easter and looked forward to King Charles' Coronation.
The Royal family was in focus this Sunday. All Britain watched King Charles waved as Royal Family gather at Windsor for first Easter service of his reign. It also was the first ever Easter appearance of Prince Louis.
As well, the news informed us about King Charles Coronation route; the 260-year-old Gold State Coach chosen for this purpose; an ivory sceptre for the Queen Consort to be used despite Charles' longstanding campaign as Prince of Wales to end the illegal trafficking of animal parts like rhino horn and elephant tusk; even the official emoji of King Charles was unveiled.
Even though meteorologists were trying to frighten Britons with adverse weather forecast.
Also on Sunday, it came to be known that the Home Secretary has scolded a police force for sending five officers to a family-owned pub to seize a collection of golliwog dolls a day before. The common remark to this news was wondering, how did it come that the police ever responded the call. There were quite a lot of stories like:
"There was a young boy who was wounded by an air rifle in a town near me. His mum put the photos on social media because she was fed up of the police not coming round and doing their job. She is still waiting one week after the offense. Maybe she should have said he got attacked by a doll!"
"Why does it take six of them. They could have sent one and the other five could have been dealing with real crime."
"Police demonstrate how to get response if burgled tell them a doll has insulted you."
