Week 20 2023

This week apparently can be titled a Suella Braverman week. Almost each day we read news about her.

On Thursday, was a Day of Towel and lilac, Mizzy was fined at Thames Magistrates' Court, Rishi Sunak expressed an opinion that promoting vapes to kids is ridiculous, energy bills set to stay high despite price cap cut, the Independent informed that Brexit has cost every UK household £250 in food bills, and a silver Kia smashed into the gates of Downing Street at around 4.20pm. On Friday, an owner of Sainsbury's asserted that supermarkets are not profiting from high prices, the BBC reported that  London saw rise in cases of monkeypox in last month, we've read that  Suella Braverman made front-page news 23 years ago – accused of ‘corruption’, and transgender women were banned from competitive female cycling events by national governing body. What happened on 11th April 2023

Tuesday was a day full of events in the UK. One of the biggest strikes by medics started , this Tuesday. While junior doctors were marching past Downing Street, EveryDoctor Wall of Support for them was launched. Hundreds of Britons wrote messages of respect and support for people who save our lives. Jeremy Vine on 5 debate show received rather clear answer on the question, " Are junior doctors' pay demands unreasonable? Junior doctors in England are striking for four days while asking for a 35% pay restoration. The Health Sec says the demands are "unreasonable" and that walkouts "risk patient safety". Do you agree? Or are you backing the doctors?" The majority of their followers in Twitter  spoke out in favour of the junior doctors. They also doubt in competence of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Hon. Steve Barclay.
